Strut Safe |
||
|
Good evening residents of De Beauvoir.
We wanted to make you aware of a new free service called Strut Safe. Strut Safe is a UK-wide phone line. If a person is walking alone, the Strut Safe volunteers will be a friendly voice to keep the person company and help the person feel safe until they are through the door. This is a useful website to let people know about, especially at our VAWG events.
There are 2 versions of this, one is via phone call. The other is via British Sign Language Interpreter. Both services are free for the caller.
The service is available Thursday to Sunday Friday and Saturday: 1900 to 0300 Thursday and Sunday: 1900 to 0100
Info from website - When you contact us via SignVideo, you will be connected to a video call with a professional BSL interpreter who will interpret your conversation with a Strut Safe volunteer, keeping you company until you get through the door.
If you ever feel unsafe please don't hesitate to contact us, whether is through Met Engage or other platforms. Please remember that any emergencies is 999 and any reports 101. We wish you a safe journey home.
